Black Eye Susan Awards
The Black Eye Susan (BES) award is an annual Maryland book award given to three types of books in the elementary level:

Picture Book Nominees:

Students from K-3 must read 8 books in order to vote in April for their favorite Black Eyed Susan Book.
At KP Media, we will read 8 books together and write book reviews for each of the books we read.
Chapter Books - Grade 4-6 Nominees:
Students from grades 4 - 5 will have to read 3 chapter books in order to vote in April for the Black Eyed Susan Award.

Students will have the opportunity to read and review books on their own.
Graphic Novels - Grade 4-6 Nominees:
Students from grades 4 - 5 will have to read 3 graphic novels in order to vote in April for the Black Eyed Susan Award.
